WHEEL COCONUTS

The striking strokes of the implements, the strident drumming of the boxes and maracas, mark a tradition that we from the EITA Group of Folkloric Projections , seek to rescue by presenting to the public this which is one of the greatest popular manifestations in our region.

We bring the influence of several Quilombos, like the coconuts sung by the late Mestre Benedito de Cabedelo, by the coconut singers from Gurugi, among others. We do a mix of beach and country rhythms, all from research, where our players were able to appreciate and experience "in loco" in each region presented.

Let's "symbolize" my people! There's coconut, catimba and ciranda! Live the popular culture!

REGIONAL HALL

With the show entitled ENCANTOS NORDESTINOS , the Eita Group of Folkloric Projections intends to instigate the public to a great trip through the Brazilian northeast, especially to our dear Paraíba. Through the dances, songs and interpretations to be presented, we will highlight the various aspects of popular culture, providing those present with a moment of recognition of our origins and traditions. Another remarkable fact of our show is the interaction with the public, keeping alive the tradition that culture is made with the people and for the people.

Finally, we understand that it is our responsibility to preserve, disseminate as well as to value our culture, and this opportunity is of great importance to leave in the memory of the people the importance of the construction of cultural knowledge.

BUMBA QUE BUMBA MY OX

The folkloric show BUMBA QUE BUMBA MY BOI instigates viewers on a journey through the beliefs and beliefs of our region through dance, bringing significant marks from the imaginary universe of our people.
In a universe in which the real and the imaginary have no definite boundaries, the ox game is generally not seen as an artistic expression, but as part of the life of the community itself. Here, then, is the great challenge: to adapt this great popular manifestation in a show whose roots are maintained, modifying only its form of organization and central idea. The show is dedicated to the great master João do Boi (in memoir). In a simple and respectful way, it rescues a little of the shops and games that this great icon of the culture of Paraíba left us.

XAXADO DA PARAÍBA

The folkloric show MY LIFE IS XAXAR! instigates viewers on a journey through the wanderings of the bandits of Virgulino Ferreira's band - the Lampião, through the northeastern hinterland through dance, bringing significant marks to the imaginary universe of our people in a universe in which the real and the imaginary have no defined borders. We are not limited to just showing the steps and choreography. We approached the public, recalling historical facts that marked this time so important for the history of the northeast and Brazil. Here, then, is our great challenge in adapting this great popular manifestation in a show whose roots will be maintained, modifying only its form of organization and central idea.
